What Does a School Counselor Do?: School Counselors help students with a variety of issues, including academic, emotional and social challenges. They also work with students to help them achieve their goals and develop skills that support learning.

I Support With:

• Classroom lessons teaching social skills, coping with big feelings, study skills, growth mindset, etc.
• Small group counseling
• Responsive services, individual planning, system support
• Short-term individual planning
• Consultation with parents and teachers
• Community resource external referrals (including long-term counseling)
• Schoolwide programming including Kindness Week, Red Ribbon Week, etc.).
